To encourage a culture of volunteering and to live out our call as Catholics to serve others, we’ll be hosting SJCCM-wide service events every other month. For our first event, join us in praying on the sidewalk outside of Planned Parenthood San Jose for the 40 Days for Life vigil campaign on Sunday 10/17 at 10:30AM.

What’s 40 Days for Life?
40 Days for Life is the largest internationally coordinated pro-life mobilization in history, helping people in local communities end the injustice of abortion through prayer & fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigil. As referenced in the movie Unplanned, the peaceful and prayerful presence of pro-lifers really does make a difference – your presence could truly save lives.
Can’t I just pray at home?
You can pray at home, and it would be great to pray every day for an end to the injustice of abortion. However, your in-person presence outside of the clinic is more powerful than you know – it is a visible sign to the local community, to the abortion workers, and to abortion-vulnerable women. Even on days when the clinic is closed, our presence sends an important sign to the community that we are here and we care!
