读经一 Reading 1

(尼尼微人离开了邪路，信了天主。)
恭读约纳先知书 Jon 3:1-5, 10　
上主的话再一次传给约纳说：「你起来，往尼尼微大城去，向他们宣布我吩咐你的事。」 约纳便遵照上主的话，起身往尼尼微去了。尼尼微在天主前是一座大城，需要三天的时间才走得完。 约纳开始进城，走了一天的路程，他就宣布说：「还有四十天，尼尼微就要毁灭了。」 尼尼微人便信了天主，立即宣布禁食，所有的人从大到小，都身披苦衣。 天主看到他们所行的事，看到他们离开了邪路，就怜悯他们，没有将已宣布的灾祸降到他们身上。 —-上主的圣言
The word of the LORD came to Jonah, saying:
“Set out for the great city of Nineveh,
and announce to it the message that I will tell you.”
So Jonah made ready and went to Nineveh,
according to the LORD’S bidding.
Now Nineveh was an enormously large city;
it took three days to go through it.
Jonah began his journey through the city,
and had gone but a single day’s walk announcing,
“Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed, ”
when the people of Nineveh believed God;
they proclaimed a fast
and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth.

When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way,
he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them;
he did not carry it out.

  1. Your ways, O LORD, make known to me;
    teach me your paths,
    Guide me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are God my savior.
  2. Remember that your compassion, O LORD,
    and your love are from of old.
    In your kindness remember me,
    because of your goodness, O LORD.
  3. Good and upright is the LORD;
    thus he shows sinners the way.
    He guides the humble to justice
    and teaches the humble his way.

(这世界的局面正在逝去)
恭读圣保禄宗徒致格林多人前书 1 Cor 7:29-31　
弟兄们，我给你们说：时间是短促的，从今以后有妻子的要像没有的一样；哭泣的要像不哭泣的；欢乐的要像不欢乐的；置产的要像没有财产的一样； 享用这世上财富的要像不享用的一样，因为我们所看到的这世界正在逝去。 —-上主的圣言
I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out.
From now on, let those having wives act as not having them,
those weeping as not weeping,
those rejoicing as not rejoicing,
those buying as not owning,
those using the world as not using it fully.
For the world in its present form is passing away.

若翰被监禁以后，耶稣来到加里肋亚，宣讲天主的福音说：「时候到了，天主的国临近了，你们悔改，信从福音吧！」 有一天，耶稣沿着加里肋亚海边行走，看见西满和西满的哥哥安德在海里撒网，他们原是渔夫。 耶稣对他们说：「来跟随我吧！我要使你们成为赢得人的渔夫。」他们便立刻抛下鱼网，跟随了祂。 耶稣又往前走了不远，看见载伯德的儿子雅格和他的弟弟若望，正在船上整理鱼网， 耶稣立即召唤了他们；他们就把父亲载伯德和佣工留在船上，跟随祂去了。 —-基督的福音
After John had been arrested,
Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God:
“This is the time of fulfillment.
The kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

As he passed by the Sea of Galilee,
he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting their nets into the sea;
they were fishermen.
Jesus said to them,
“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Then they abandoned their nets and followed him.
He walked along a little farther
and saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John.
They too were in a boat mending their nets.
Then he called them.
So they left their father Zebedee in the boat
along with the hired men and followed him.
