圣若望福音 John 6:516—58
那时候，耶稣对犹太群众说：「我是从天上降下来的生命之粮；谁若吃了这食粮，必要活到永远。我所要赐给的食粮就是我的肉，是为世人的生命而赐给的。」因此犹太人彼此争论说：「这个人怎么能把祂的肉给我们吃呢？」耶稣对他们说：「我实实在在告诉你们：你们若不吃人子的肉，不喝人子的血，在你们内便没有生命。谁吃我的肉喝我的血，必得永生；在末日我要使他復活，因为我的肉是真正的食品；我的血是真正的饮料。谁吃我的肉喝我的血，他便住在我内，我也住在他内。如同生活的父派遣了我，我因父而生活；照样，吃我肉的人也要因我而生活。这就是从天上降下来的食粮，不像你们的祖先吃过『玛纳』，仍然死了。谁吃这食粮，必要活到永远。」 ── 上主的话。
Jesus said to the Jewish crowds: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
