（耶稣就在门徒观望中，被举上升。）
(恭读宗徒大事录 1:1-11)
亲爱的德敖斐罗：我在第一部书中，叙述耶稣所行所教的一切：从开始直到祂藉圣神嘱咐所选的宗徒之后，被接上升的那一天为止；祂受难以后，用许多凭据，向他们显示自己还活着。四十天之久显现给他们，并且对他们讲论天主国的事。耶稣和宗徒一同吃饭时，吩咐他们不要离开耶路撒冷，而要等候父的恩许，祂说：「那就是以前你们听我所说过的：若翰是用水施行洗礼，但是几天以后，你们要在圣神内受洗。」聚集在那里的人问耶稣说：「主啊，祢要在这时復兴以色列国吗？」祂回答说：「父凭自己的权柄所定的时间和日期，你们不必知道；但是当圣神降临在你们身上时，你们要充满圣神的能力，并且要在耶路撒冷、犹太和撒玛黎雅全境，到天涯海角，为我作见证。」耶稣说完了这些话，就在他们注视中，被接上升，有一朵云彩遮住了祂，他们就看不见祂了。他们向天注视着祂上升的时候，忽然有两位穿白衣的人站在他们面前，对他们说：「加里肋亚人哪！你们为什么站在这里望着天空呢？这位离开你们，被接到天上去的耶稣，你们看见祂怎样升了天，也要怎样从天降来。」 —— 上主的圣言
In the first book, Theophilus,
I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught
until the day he was taken up,
after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit
to the apostles whom he had chosen.
He presented himself alive to them
by many proofs after he had suffered,
appearing to them during forty days
and speaking about the kingdom of God.
While meeting with them,
he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem,
but to wait for “the promise of the Father
about which you have heard me speak;
for John baptized with water,
but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
When they had gathered together they asked him,
“Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons
that the Father has established by his own authority.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
throughout Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.”
When he had said this, as they were looking on,
he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.
While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going,
suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them.
They said, “Men of Galilee,
why are you standing there looking at the sky?
This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven
will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”

(恭读圣保禄宗徒致厄弗所人书 Eph 1:17-23)
弟兄们：愿我们的主耶稣基督的天主，就是那光荣的父，把智慧和启示的神恩，赐予你们，使你们认识祂；并求祂光照你们的心，使你们认清祂的宠召有什么希望，祂赐给圣徒的嗣业又怎样充满了光荣。祂曾将这非常的能力施展在基督身上，使祂从死人中復活，使祂在天上坐在自己的右边，远远超越一切执政的、掌权的、异能的、统治的，以及现世和来试可能称唿的名衔之上；祂又将万有归服在基督的脚下，使基督在教会内作至高的元首，这教会就是基督的身体，是那位在一切内充满一切者的圆满。 —— 上主的圣言
Brothers and sisters:
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation
resulting in knowledge of him.
May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call,
what are the riches of glory
in his inheritance among the holy ones,
and what is the surpassing greatness of his power
for us who believe,
in accord with the exercise of his great might,
which he worked in Christ,
raising him from the dead
and seating him at his right hand in the heavens,
far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion,
and every name that is named
not only in this age but also in the one to come.
And he put all things beneath his feet
and gave him as head over all things to the church,
which is his body,
the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

那时候，十一位门徒往加里肋亚去，到了耶稣给他们所指定的山上。他们看见耶稣，就朝拜了祂，但是仍有些人心中怀疑。耶稣便上前来，对他们说：「天上地下一切权柄都交给了我，所以，你们要去使万民作我的门徒，因父及子及圣神之名，给他们授洗，教训他们遵守我所吩咐你们的一切。我要天天跟你们在一起，直到今世的终结。」 —— 基督的福音
The eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them,
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
