亲爱的教友们：
昨日上午，我们敬爱的欧神父的母亲蒙主宠召，回归父家。
神父在服务我们的同时，也正经歷着失去至亲的悲痛。在这个艰难的时刻，让我们全堂区教友团结一心，以祈祷作为最温暖的陪伴。
「主，求祢赐她永恆的安息，并以永恆的光辉照耀她。」
请大家在每日祈祷或弥撒中，特别合意为神父母亲的灵魂安息祈祷，也求主赐予神父力量与平安。
今天, 欧神父特别送来感谢: 他真心感谢大家这些日子以来的关心、慰问, 特别是大家的祈祷。他也要特别感谢姜有国神父慷慨地帮忙主持下主日的弥撒; 感谢顾光中蒙席在Ascension Church主持弥撒; 还有Ukeme Bassey神父帮忙主持5th Street的主日弥撒。
欧神父会在2月13日星期五回到加州。接下来的日子里, 神父希望能跟大家多分享一些天主在这段时间赐给我们家的恩典和慈悲。天主保佑！
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that the beloved mother of our pastor, Fr. Olivera, passed away peacefully and returned to the House of the Lord yesterday morning.
While Fr. Olivera continues to shepherd our community, he is also navigating the deep sorrow of losing a parent. In this time of grief, let us come together as a parish family to offer our most sincere support through prayer.
“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.”
We kindly ask you to remember the soul of Father’s mother in your daily prayers and at Holy Mass. May the Lord grant her eternal peace and provide comfort and strength to Father and his family.
Today, Fr. Olivera sent his message to our communities. He is deeply grateful for the numerous expressions of affection, messages of condolence, and especially for our prayers during these days. His gratitude also to Father Jiang, who generously will cover Mass next Sunday; to Msgr. Koo, for his availability celebrating Masses at Ascension Church; and to Father Ukeme Bassey, for covering the Sunday Mass at 5th Street.
Fr. Olivera will be returning to California on Friday, February 13th. In the following days, He hoped to share with everyone more about God’s mercies that his family has experienced during this time. Blessings!
